This does not feel like a final draft. There are weak transitions and simple word choice. There is also dual perspective which is usually fine, but this author uses the transition from one character to the other to repeat what just happened two seconds ago. For example:Bill's perspective: I looked at Lauren and asked her what she thought. She told me I was a marketing problem. She was so brave and honest - but she thinks I'm a terrible person? But I want to get into her pants so bad! Agh! How did I fail already? Now I have to go talk to my little brother and I'll make it obvious who it is cause we won't call each other by name but by big bro/little bro.Lauren's perspective: He asked me what I thought and I told him he was a marketing problem. No wonder he prefers busty women over me! Ugh, he'll never sleep with me. How could I have failed already? Authors know no other way of conveying a good time had than by comparing the new man's skills to the feeble and uncaring, selfish, and ignorant ways of an ex. The storyline is funny, sweet and a little steamy. He is an alpha male who doesn’t trust anyone due to his wealth. Before the heroine is really introduced, he seems to be an one time and done guy. I will say I laughed at the scene where he threw to girls cell phone in his fish tank.She is a girl who doubts herself as she is worn down by a horrible boss and her brother’s rehab bills. They finally met and twice he portrays himself as a jerk and she jumps to conclusions and hates the guy.Then she gets a backbone and is the only person who calls him out for his crap and there starts the love story.The storyline was fun and the book is easy to read.Once you start the series you have to keep reading. I only wish the next book had an audible as well since I like to buy both so you can read quicker and always be reading or listening to a great story.
